'Welcome to Cape Town', a song which makes each day a little brighter, is a creation by Taliep Petersen, one of the two brains behind the musical hits District Six - The Musical and Ghoema. Keep your ears open and you will hear it all over, especially during the New Year's Parade - the Tweede Nuwe Jaar or Cape Minstrel Parade.

During the Parade, one of the greatest and most important events on the Cape Town events calender, ‘Welcome To Cape Town' is played over and over again by the different troops; until you can almost sing along the words.

To us, Welcome To Cape Town is a reminder of that wonderful dancing rhythm that can be present in this Mother City. Therefore we thought to share the song with you. Enjoy..
