New exclusive club is to reset the standard of Cape Town nightlife
Nisha, a new nightclub in Camps Bay, opens 19 November 2011.

After four months of construction and redesigning the old Karma, the summer party season has arrived and brought along a new attraction, Nisha; an innovative up-market nightclub that will focus on attracting the trendiest models and celebrities that Cape Town has to offer.
The owners, Yoram Lugasi (Picasso's, JHB), Tal Barel (Fashion Society, JHB) and Clifford Groenewald (Black Ice Productions, CPT) have reportedly said: “The name of Nisha was inspired by the thought of a ‘Niche Market’, which is the subset on which this club is focused.”
The opening brings with it an exclusive, invite-only launch party, where an entertainment extravaganza is set to introduce Nisha in an exhibition of all things maverick, indulgent and stylish.
Roxy Robinson, the owner of Pick A Flava and marketing manager of Nisha has this to say about the opening: “We are all extremely excited. I feel that Nisha will set the benchmark of who the true VIPs are in South Africa.”
When Aidan Bennetts and Stephen Lasker got the brief to design the nightclub it was every designer’s dream. The white theme as you enter, the oversized hexagonal chandeliers and the gold and black themed VIP lounge all work together to give you that feel of T.V series: Dirty, Sexy, Money. The VVIP section for celebrities has a sofa in a picture frame.
The hexagonal mirrors held by hands glowing with LED lights coming from the ceiling and the girls’ bathroom walls covered in masquerade wallpaper are just two of the bathrooms’ many features. If the indoors isn’t your scene then how about sitting on an illuminated sofa outside to clear the head with the Atlantic sea breeze? Designed for affable debauchery and indulgent fun, without pretentiousness, but exuding an abundance of class and style. It’s the ultimate destination for major players and glitterati alike.
