The Mother City’s Ellerman House ranked as the 13th best hotel in the world

Traveller magazine, Conde Nast Traveller recently released – 17 October 2016 – its list of the top 50 hotels in the world, listing one Cape Town hotel among the award winning locations.
Ranked as the 13th best hotel in the world, the Mother City’s luxurious hotel, Ellerman House has been named as the top hotel in South Africa.
Ellerman House is an elegant Cape Edewardian-era adults-only mansion situated on the slopes of Lion’s Head in the prestigious Bantry Bay residential area in Cape Town.
The Relais & Chateaux one-and-half acre privately property boasts 11 rooms, two suites and two three-bedroom Villas. The exclusive boutique hotel also features two lounges, a library, a dining room, three dining terraces, a spa, a fitness centre, pool, brandy lounge, wine gallery, contemporary art gallery and a champagne cellar, not to mention breath-taking views from each room’s private balcony.
For guests wishing to stay a night or two, the hotel’s 2017 rates show that the cheapest room costs R11 000 per night (R8 500 during low season), with the luxury Villa One (with exclusive spa use) going for R146 000 per night (R111 000 during low season).
A night’s stay includes breakfast, transfers to and from the airport and access to the spa and fitness centre. The Villa includes its own personal chef and hospitality team.
