Walk Cape Town Christmas Market - 14 to 16 December 2011
The first Christmas market along the Fan Walk will feature designer exhibitors and designer goodies including food from Jaques Erasmus' Helmelhuijs Cafe. Visit the historic Evangelical Lutheran Church from 10:30 (15:30 on the 14th) followed by carols and candlelight at 20:00. Market guests are invited to donate a kiddies Christmas gift to the church orphanage.

St Luke's Hospice Annual Market - 4 December 2011
Open from 16:00, there are toys, delicatessen goodies, plants and something for those with a sweet tooth. St Luke’s Hospice book and clothing shops will also be open. Enjoy an early supper from the many delicious food stalls and picnic on the lawn. The annual lighting of the Tree of Remembrance Ceremony starts at 19:00 with the Caledonian Pipe Band. The Apostolic Adult Choir will be singing everybody’s favourite carols, and there will be facepainting and special surprises for the children. Entrance is free but a donation for candles and programme is appreciated. You can also sponsor a bulb in the tree for R60.

The Blaauklippen Family Market, held on a weekly Sunday basis, will be hosting a special Christmas market this year. Inside the carriage museum people can find a variety of fresh produce, biltong, cheese, breads, preserves and much more. Plus, there is also an interesting selection of “lifestyle” or non-food related products such as art, crafts, jewellery, clothing and plant varieties.
