In realising how demanding life can be, Cape Quarter, in partnership with YogaLife offers all the opportunity to stretch their stress away for FREE at their complimentary weekly yoga classes.
Led by the experienced folk at YogaLife, the stylish multi-storey lifestyle centre invites anyone and everyone –from beginners to experienced yogis – for a FREE one-hour yoga session every Sunday (5pm), Monday (7:30pm) and Thursday (7:30pm) evening. Taking place in The Square’s events area (located to the right of the court when coming up the escalators from the Mezzanine Level), the space is large and open as well as undercover – an ideal spot for a little bit of flexing and breathing after a long Tuesday at the office or an eventful day taking care of the little ones.
The professionally trained YogaLife instructors (please note that teachers may change periodically) are well equipped to assist yogis of all statures and everyone is invited to join the weekly class – irrespective of age and fitness level. Although prior booking is not required as each class runs on a first-come, first-serve basis, it is best to arrive early to find a comfortable spot and settle in – the lessons are known to be very popular. All attendees are advised to bring their own yoga mat, towel and water bottle.

Located just across the way from the Cape Quarter on Waterkant Street, YogaLife offers a wide variety of heated and unheated yoga classes – think power, Vinyasa, Bikram and sculpt, available to yogis of all skill levels. With a key focus on creating fun and supportive classes with consistent instruction delivery and skilful posture sequencing, each lesson is student-centred concentrating specifically on one’s relationship to the posture. Meeting a wide range of needs unique to each individual, YogaLife’s classes are aimed to satisfy the beginner, the fitness-freak and the seasoned yogi. They also offer world-class yoga teacher training courses.
NOTE: The Cape Quarter has an abundance of undercover parking bays available to visitors across a number of floors, therefore you shouldn’t struggle to find a parking spot.
Tip: The Cape Quarter is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, so why not kill two birds with one stone and do a spot of shopping before attending the yoga class. Shoppers are truly spoilt for choice and will find everything from a SPAR grocery and SPAR Tops!
