Restaurants at the V&A Waterfront

A selection of the best restaurants at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town

Since the 17th Century, the V&A Waterfront has become the pinnacle of Cape Town’s tourism industry. Set in the majestic surroundings of the Robben Island, Table Mountain and the sparkling ocean, its magnetism draws visitors from all over the world. But it’s not just the views alone that have international tongues salivating – it’s also the outstanding cuisine. You’ll find everything from Japanese, to Hungarian, to Italian to South African at the V&A Waterfront. Once again, CapeTownMagazine.com has overcome the impossible.  We’ve selected a selection of the best, from a selection of the best.

Cape Town Fish Market
Characterized by historical photographs of fishing harbours, this restaurant is the ideal pit stop after shopping with the girls. It offers a combination of South African and Japanese dishes including; a sushi train with colour coded plates and tepanyaki, where you can watch the chef prepare food on an iron grill. Complement sumptuous seafood with a glass of South African wine.

Sevruga
Sevruga has fine dining written all over it and has even played host to a celebrity or two. Think fresh fish, extra-matured steak and master sushi chef Alan Huang. Stick to your South African roots with Lindt Chocolate Springbok, accompanied by pommes cocottes, wild mushrooms, chocolate and port jus. Savour every moment.
