Bea Johnson “the priestess of waste-free living” launched a global movement, Zero Waste Home, which leads the conversation on how everyone can simplify their lives and adopt a new approach to consumerism and conscious living. Join Bea at the Two Oceans Aquarium on Friday, 5 May 2017 to find out how she has adopted a sustainable waste-free lifestyle and how you can, too.
Johnson and her family generate a quart-size jar of waste per year - we were just as shocked at this point as we’re sure you are! She is touring South Africa in May 2017 and the Two Oceans Aquarium is delighted to host the talk in order to learn more about the movement and grant attendees a chance to network with the aim of learning, first-hand, from someone who has proved it is possible and rewarding to live a minimalistic lifestyle.
In addition to Bea’s talk there will be other leading waste-minimisation experts in attendance, which includes Jade Khoury from Low-Impact Living and CEO of Hotel Verde - South Africa’s greenest hotel. The evening aims to serve as an inspiration to minimize your own waste at home as well as being an opportunity to meet and chat with like-minded people.
