World of Birds Photowalk

Take a walk through this magical avian sanctuary and capture images of the wonders it holds

Become a nature photographer for a day and head down to the World of Birds Wildlife Sanctuary and Monkey Park on Saturday, 27 August 2016 to snap some pictures of the majestic fowls roaming the sanctuary.

The Orms Cape Town School of Photography is taking a group of 15 people on this amazing experience of learning expert techniques on how to photograph birds. Join Orms Cape Town School of Photogaphy lecturer Frank Krummacher and Jason Ormrod as they venture through the World of Birds and capture images of elegant swans, colourful parrots and many more beautiful birds. The World of Birds houses over 3000 birds and other animals, giving you plenty of options to choose from.

Don’t forget to pack the essential equipment required to take part in the photo walk: each participant will need a camera, of course, but it would be a good idea to bring along a tripod (if you haven’t got steady hands) and something warm to wear in the morning. Jason has a range of magnificent lenses that are used specifically for photographing birds and they will be available for everyone to use during the walk.

ENTRY TO THE 2016 WORLD OF BIRDS PHOTOWALK IN HOUT BAY

Tickets can be purchased for R300p/p via Ctsp.co.za. The first eight people to enter will qualify for a 10% discount. The photo walk will commence at 9am.
