EARTHBOX is a first-of-its-kind ...
Experience an immersive sensory journey into the depths of the earth
“I’m a woman. Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me" Maya Angelou’s iconic words reflect the celebration of women around the world.
The continuation of that kind of jovial spirit is found in the Dynamic African Women Now‘s (DAWN) upcoming Women’s Day event. See live poetry performances and engage and interact with like-minded individuals at the Novalis Ubuntu Institute in Wynberg on Wednesday, 5 August 2015.
The mid-week occasion is hosted by the Novalis Ubuntu Institute as a way to recognise the different dynamics and roles that women play in society. The evening will include moving and emotive poetry performances, rhythmic drumming and speeches from DAWN speakers. Topics include a range of subjects from health and wellness to sustainability, art and education and the dress code is, ‘Dress for a New Dawn‘ so be sure to don your favourite threads. There will be a lovely brunch on the day, as well as refreshments for the attendees.
For those not in the know, the Novalis Ubuntu Centre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to, ‘individual and social transformation through holistic education programmes that promote sustainability, social justice, creativity and peace.‘
