Are you the kind of person who often finds themselves staring at their wine rack unable to choose between the Pinot Noirs and the Chardonnays? Then you should probably book your spot at the Burgundy Lover’s Festival at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands. Happening on Friday, 15 May 2015 from 5pm until 8pm, this event promises a sensational selection of the finest versions of both varietals.
If a tasty toddy tickles your fancy then brush up on your wine tasting etiquette and vocabulary and get ready to tuck into an array of intoxicating intoxicants, accompanied by succulent snacks. More than 35 of the fair Cape’s estates will be showcasing their wares and your ticket ensures you get generous tastings of each vintage on offer. The bottles will also be available for sale at a reduced rate, should you find a brilliant burgundy to add to your cellar.
This is the festival’s fifth year and it continues to ripen in popularity annually. So, gather your friends and family, designate a driver or get your Uber on and prepare yourselves for a night of fine wining and dining with some of the country’s foremost sommeliers.
TICKETS FOR THE 2015 WINE CONCEPTS BURGUNDY LOVER’S FESTIVAL
Tickets cost R170p/p, are available from Webtickets.co.za and include tastings of all the wines on offer as well as a smorgasbord of snacks. Early-bird tickets are R160p/p and can be purchased from Webtickets.co.za or from the Newlands and Kloof Street Wine Concepts stores. The event commences at 5pm.
