Table of Peace and Unity 2011

Play your part in this year of giving back with lunch on Table Mountain

In keeping with the event’s spirit of love and nurturing, this year’s Table of Peace and Unity luncheon will take on Mother’s Day, Sunday 8th May at 12:00 on Table Mountain.

The Table of Peace and Unity has grown into a lauded, national event on the South African calendar.  A sensational gourmet and entertainment experience for those who attend, this is also a lifesaving charitable occasion which has raised a staggering R9 million - changing the lives of many of our fragile and vulnerable children of Africa.

This event is not just a collection of funds.  It’s a vision that is as bold as that of history’s greatest peacemakers.  It’s a day where diversity is celebrated and cultural, religious and racial differences are forgotten in an effort towards global peace and unity.

This world-class event will allow 700 people - including dignitaries, celebrities and religious heads - to lead the way up Table Mountain to break bread at one table for a commendable cause and a huge vision.

This year, top regional chefs – including Peter Templehoff (The Cellars-Hohenort, part of The Collection by Liz McGrath), Roberto de Carvalho (One&Only Hotel), Morne Botha (Blues Restaurant) and Jerome Peters (Cape Town Hotel School) – will join together to create three courses of celebration.

Enjoy your meal - wiht ingredients supplied by Checkers - paired with Lazanou organic wine, while listening as Danny K, the Parlotones and Vicky Sampson lend their voices to the cause with performances under a Downings marquee.

Prices are R350p/p for General | R450p/p for VIP | R100p/p - R200p/p for children from 5 - 12 | R400p/p for groups of 10 or more.
