Western Province vs Griquas Currie Cup Rugby Match
Cape Town’s boys in blue take on Kimberley’s crew in an exciting home game
The Western Province boys in blue and white will fight to better their current ABSA Currie Cup log position of third place in a match against the Northern Cape Griquas at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, 5 September 2015. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:05pm.
The Mother City squad is currently in third position, with the Blue Bulls leading the pack, followed by the Golden Lions in second place. Province will be looking to gain back some standing (and drive) after a 47-29 loss to the Bulls on the 27th of August. The Griquas, meanwhile, will undoubtedly be looking for revenge after their 43-19 loss to Western Province earlier in August. It should be a fiercely competitive match, with both teams lined up to get physical and fight back after some big losses this season. The Griquas have more to prove, however, as the Kimberley team is currently last on the log.
What goes without saying is that WP lads still need to watch their backs and could still use a hefty helping of stadium support. So, gather your family and friends and head to the stadium for a fun evening out!
