Western Province vs. Eastern Province Kings at Newlands Stadium

The ABSA Currie Cup is in full swing and yet another hard-hitting, action-packed game is coming to the Mother City.  Supporters of DHL Western Province will descend on Newlands Stadium in their blue and white gear for the game against the Eastern Province Kings on Friday, 9 October 2015. If you can’t make it to the stadium, why not shout at a TV at one of many places to watch rugby in Cape Town?

Both teams still have two matches each before this encounter – Western Province will be taking on the Pumas and the Lions, whereas the Kings will challenge the Griquas and the Bulls. So far though, Western Province is near the top of the log (having won five of their seven games) and the EP Kings are near the bottom (winning only one of their seven games), which means that the local lads should manage a win.

The last time these two teams squared up, Western Province narrowly clenched the victory from the Kings, with the final score resting at 21-18. The game was played on the Kings’ turf in Port Elizabeth, so they will be looking for revenge in this upcoming game as they try to overcome Western Province’s home team advantage.

As we’ve already seen in the Rugby World Cup, rival teams should never be underestimated. So grab your mates and get tickets for the home games as our boys in blue can always use the support. Remember, this is also the last Currie Cup match at Newlands so make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the action.

Tickets to the game are available online from Compuicket.com or Viagogo.co.za and will cost between R40p/p to R100p/p depending on your selected seating area. 2015 season tickets are available via Wprugby.com for R500p/p or R700p/p depending on seating preferences. The match will start at 6pm.
