Wednesday Wings Special at Hooters Durbanville
It’s all you can eat for just R99!
There are many very good reasons to head to Hooters in Durbanville on any day of the week: charming, good-looking service with a smile, great music, loads of beers to choose from and 22 flat-screen TVs showing all the sport imaginable. But Wednesdays at the Edward Street haunt have just become even better thanks to an all-you-can-eat special on those famous Hooters wings.
For just R99, you can fill up on some of the finest American exports to land on our shores. Your first plate comes with 15 wings, and then you get 10 wings on each plate thereafter. This gives you an excellent opportunity to try the wide range of sauces on offer. From naked wings (that just means no coating, gents) with a Daytona dip (our particular favourite), to crumbed wings in a barbecue or 911 sauce (so hot you might need an ambulance), the combo options are endless.
All recipes are identical to those served in every Hooters in the US of A, and each offers something totally unique to the South African diner. We loved the full roll of kitchen towel on each table; you’re encouraged to get your hands dirty, and you definitely will.
Not to mention, the service is genuinely excellent, the music is upbeat and the good vibes are infectious. It all combines to make the food taste that much better.
But atmosphere aside, with Hooters’s patented curly fries and ice cold draught beer as the perfect sides to your meal deal, there are few better ways to get over the midweek hump than by tucking into the Wednesday Wings Special.
Be careful though, if you head through for lunch, you might not be able to leave and get back to the office. You’ve been warned!
