Still wondering how to celebrate your special someone this Valentine’s Day? Why not whisk them away to Hillcrest Quarry to listen to an upbeat concert in a scenic setting? Acts include Desmond & The Tutus, Majozi, Ryan Kidwell and Crimson House, so you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a good time!
The Durbanville hot spot is hosting a sublime outdoor picnic so pack a basket full of goodies or just arrive hungry and head to the Quarry food court for supplies. Remember to bring your own camping chairs, blankets and umbrella, but don’t bring alcohol as there’ll be a fully-stocked bar on-site.
From The Tutu’s indie rock jams and Majozi’s romantic hits to sweet serenades from Ryan Kidwell and swinging sing-songs from Crimson House, your toes will be tapping in no time! So grab your sweetie, dance on the lawn, kiss in the sunshine or simply wine, dine and enjoy each other’s company.
TICKETS FOR THE 2016 VALENTINE’S CONCERT AT HILLCREST QUARRY
Tickets can be bought from Computicket.com and cost R150 for a single ticket and R250 for a double ticket. Kids aged 12 to 18 pay R80p/p, while children under 11 enter for free. The concert starts at 1pm.
