Who would have thought that deep within one of the CBD’s most recognisable business hotels lies a little piece of romantic paradise? And yet it’s true, the Hilton Cape Town City Centre’s secluded, semi-alfresco Signal Hill Terrace and Lounge, which wraps around the property’s pool and offers up sterling views of the stars above at night, is an idyllic couple’s retreat.
As if to prove the point, this Valentine’s Day, the hotel eatery is inviting lovebirds to come experience the setting for themselves. In honour of the Cupid-themed occasion, the urban-chic restaurant is hosting a five-course aphrodisiac dinner sure to up the electric energy between pairs and get the loved-up vibes flowing.
The evening meal starts out with a refreshing welcome cocktail and a series of tasty canapés, and after, sweethearts will be spoiled with a heavenly starter, an ocean-fresh seafood platter, a delicious main and a decadent dessert, all of which include carefully selected ingredients designed to ignite desire (think oysters, chocolate, chilli and figs).
The terrace’s signature full-flavoured food, combined with the serene oasis-like setting, will certainly make Romeos and Juliets keen to stay all night, and in fact, one lucky duo will actually get to do so. As a special extra, the hotel is giving away a dreamy overnight stay (including breakfast) to one couple, and the winning pair will be announced at dinner (so, bring your bags in case your name is picked – the stay is only valid for that evening).
Other lovers, unfortunately, will eventually have to leave, but not before they’ve enjoyed an unforgettable evening wining and dining within the walls of this secret CBD gem.
