Charismatic local comedian Trevor Noah heads back to the Mother City for a four-night run of his latest stand-up show, Lost in Translation, at the Artscape Theatre from Wednesday, 25 to Saturday, 28 February 2015.
Trevor Noah is a man who needs very little introduction, and he has undoubtedly taken the world by storm. With his charming demeanour (super cute dimples) and witty, intellectual brand of observational humour, the local stand-up comedian tackles topical issues that range from political to social and everything in between.
Noah kicked off his career with cameo roles in soapies and as a presenter on the small screen and radio before taking to the stage. Prior to flying solo, he cut his teeth performing at many of Mzansi’s top comedy festivals, including the Cape Town International and Jozi comedy festivals and the Bafunny Bafunny series.
From there, the funnyman firmly established himself as a comedic force to be reckoned with, and his one-man shows Daywalker, Crazy Normal, That’s Racist and, the most recent, It’s My Culture cemented his popularity with audiences both locally and abroad.
After becoming the first African comedian to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno way back in 2012, Noah has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and most recently sat down with Jon Stewart on the The Daily Show to play a little game of ‘Spot the Africa’.
Now, Mzansi’s golden boy of comedy returns to the motherland for a show that sees him perform new jokes and material that takes the audience through his travels across the globe.
TICKETS FOR THE 2015 TREVOR NOAH COMEDY SHOW: LOST IN TRANSLATION
Tickets for the show are available via Computicket.com and Computicket outlets and cost R240p/p, R220p/p and R200p/p depending on the proximity to the stage.
