The Constantia Food and Wine festival invites families and connoisseurs to sample delectable gourmet fare and divine vintages from the surrounding region on the sprawling greens of the Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate Cricket Oval from Friday, 17 to Sunday, 19 April 2015.

Now in its fourth year, the culinary carnival looks to celebrate the area’s finest wines and to serve up mouth-watering dishes from the award-winning local restaurants in an effort to instate Constantia as one of the world’s premier food and wine destinations. Thus, revelers can expect to sip and swirl top notch reds and whites from the plush suburb’s well-known wineries, like Buitenverwachting, Groot and Klein Constantia and Steenberg Vineyards and nibble on tasty nosh from their established eateries.

The family-friendly fiesta also features tons of great entertainment for little ones at the open-air kids play area. So, whether you fill up on yummy goodies from the deli stalls and enjoy a romantic picnic for two or pair your portions with first-class wines and enjoy a family lunch on the lavish lawns, the Constantia Food and Wine Festival has something to suit all tastes. Do note: no dogs allowed.

Along with the vino and tasty delights, guests will be treated to live music from local artists and retail therapy in the form of stalls courtesy of some of Constantia’s popular shop owners (ATMs will be on site and vendors will offer card services).

TICKETS FOR THE 2015 CONSTANTIA FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL

Tickets to the Constantia Food and Wine Festival are available online via Webtickets.co.za or at the gate on the day and cost R160p/p per day for adults and R30p/p per day for children under the age of 18. An adult ticket includes 10  x  R5 tasting tickets. Food will be for patrons’ own account.

A shuttle service will be provided to transport all guests to and from the parking area opposite Constantia Uitsig to and from the entrance.
