EARTHBOX is a first-of-its-kind ...
Experience an immersive sensory journey into the depths of the earth
The renowned TEDx talks have altered the way we view the world, using lectures to redefine thinking and to create debate on a global scale. And the next TEDxTableMountain event will be no different. Back after a brief hiatus, this seminar will get the cogs turning on Monday, 25 May 2015 at the Artscape Theatre.
For those not in the know, the TEDxTableMountain concept runs seperately from the TEDxCapeTown series and differs slightly from it in that it mainly aims to share creative perspectives on the human-nature relationship. This time around, the series will be bringing viewers a talk under the all-new theme ‘Journeys of Excellence‘.. The lecture will give audiences a look at African innovation and development in various fields, from health, science and clean energy to the arts, education and more.
So, come with an open mind and an interest in learning about the exceptional people within our city!

WHAT (OR WHO) IS TEDx?
A non-profit organisation devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”, TED started as a four-day conference nearly 30 years ago and has grown to initiate multiple global projects centred on sustainable change. TEDx (x = independently organised event) is a locally organised subsidiary event of TED and is also devoted to bringing people together to share ideas and instigate deep discussion.
