One thing you’ve got to love about being in Cape Town is the inclusive lifestyle the city promotes and the opportunity to discover new people, places and parties to get involved in. While the rainy weather has been tempting us to stay indoors, TOMBi is bringing the Mother City a party for the queer community at Club Med on Loop Street that is sure to keep your body and soul warm with classic underground tracks that will take you back this August.
For anyone who missed the first instalment, Club Med brings the Our Place: Take Me Back (Again)party back for a second round on Saturday, 13 August 2016. The aim is to bring you an event that celebrates the role of the queer community within the development of dance music, particularly disco and house, by spinning underground tracks of every genre that will keep you jamming from 9pm until 4am.
Hosted by TOMBi, a community organisation that seeks to connect and support underrepresented and marginalised DJs and producers in Africa, Take Me Back (Again) is a party where the underground and underdogs work together. With DJ’s that bring out your dancing feet – such as Lady Venom and SANETRA – expect to meet some super cool new friends on a dance floor moved by loads of soul, disco and early house music to discover and reminisce over.
TICKETS FOR THE 2016 TAKE ME BACK (AGAIN) DANCE PARTY AT CLUB MED
Tickets are R30 at the venue and doors open at 9pm until closing time at 4am.
