Soak up classic summer tunes at the Barnyard’s tribute to the hottest season of the year!

Looking for a perfect island getaway with white sand beaches, cocktails and bikinis? Look no further, Surf’s Up!, the Willowbridge Barnyard Theatre’s latest musical tribute, has it all.  Billed as the ultimate beach party, this swinging, toe-tapping affair brings island living to the stage with a show that boasts classic summer tunes from the soundtrack of Grease, the original surfer dudes The Beach Boys and more.

What to expect at the Surf’s Up: Ultimate Beach Party Tribute Show at the Barnyard Theatre

The Barnyard Theatre Beach Bar serves up exotic cocktails before the talented 10-piece cast whisks audiences off to the top summer destinations around the world!

Patrons will journey to Jamaica to indulge in some ‘Red, Red Wine’ with UB40 before heading to the globe’s beach bum capital, California, for the crooning harmonies of The Beach Boys. Then, it’s off to Miami for some tunes from the grand dame of bikinis, Katy Perry, and from there the party detours to Mexico, the land of sun-kissed bodies and babes. South of the border we encounter sunshine, salsa and master guitarist Santana! In between stops, top tunes from Pink, Beyoncé, Maroon 5 and the Grease soundtrack are sure to get those toes tapping.

Though, where better to celebrate summer than on our very own shores, where the people walk on sunbeams and skip to a Mango Groove-y beat. Audiences can look forward to singing along to tracks like ‘Dance Sum More’.

Though, the journey is far from complete, these are just a few of the beach party-themed songs you can expect to hear during this show. So, best you lather on that sunscreen for a summer lovin’ show that will knock your slops off.

Tickets for the Surf’s Up: Ultimate Beach Party Tribute Show at the Barnyard Theatre

Tickets are available via Barnyardtheatres.co.za. Performances are scheduled to take place from Tuesday to Sunday. For most of the schedule there is one show per day, but to accommodate any end-of-year functions, there will be a matinee and evening show on select days; for more information, visit Barnyardtheartres.co.za.  

The final show is on New Year’s Eve, and ticket prices for this performance include a welcome drink and a snack pack. The performance starts at 9pm and will carry on until after midnight. The bar and restaurant will be open after the show for any party-goers who want to keep on with the celebrating.
