St. Luke’s Hospice Superhero Trail Run at UCT

Get your cape and running shoes on and be a superhero for this awesome charity event

With so many trail running events taking place in the Western Cape, such as the Olympic Dirty Double, it can be tiring trying to compete in them all. However, if there is one that should take preference on your calendar, it’s the St. Luke’s Hospice Superhero Trail Run, taking place on Sunday, 30 August 2015 at 7am at the University of Cape Town (UCT).

What makes this event different to the rest? Firstly, this is a fancy-dress race. Come dressed up as your favourite superhero and take part in the 17.3-km Superman & Supergirl route, or the less challenging 6.7-km Superhero Sidekick route (there’d be no Batman without a Robin); both starting at UCT’s Middle Campus.

Secondly, this event celebrates the uplifting work done by St. Luke’s Hospice and all the superheroes that support them. The trail run’s aim is to raise money for St. Luke’s so that they can continue to look after their terminally ill patients.

We know some of you have Spiderman onesies or Batman beach towels, so put them to good use for a great cause. Come and take part in what is most likely to be the funniest (and most fun) trail run you will compete in all year!

Tickets to the trail run are available via Wildrunner.ning.com, and will cost R165p/p for the 6.7-km route and R250p/p for the 17.3-km run.  There are limited entries for each trail so register now online and join the fun.
