Spend a morning traversing the trails of Middelvlei Farm in Stellenbosch

Fancy a quick trail run around a beautiful wine estate in Stellenbosch? It’s for a very good cause, so of course you do! Run 4 a Cause is an organisation that aids charities by hosting various outdoor events as fundraisers every year. Their next event is a trail run at Middelvlei Wine Estate, the first time Run 4 a Cause is hosting an event at Middelvlei, on Sunday, 8 October 2017. One of this year’s benefactor is a promising athlete from the Phizantekraal area of Durbanville. The funds will help him enter more races, and enable him to purchase the necessary running gear.

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than running your way through the gorgeous vineyards of Middelvlei, along with fellow trail enthusiasts. There’s a fun 5 km trail, or a slightly more challenging 10km course for the more serious trail runners. Both races start at 8:15am, and the 10km guys and gals will simply do the 5km route twice. Whichever course you choose though, the experience is sure to put a spring in your step and you’ll feel totally reinvigorated at the end.

The sponsors for this year’s event include Stickman Brewery (who will be in attendance to reward you with something professionally brewed and ice cold at the end), HumbleHustle nutrition bars, and Cookie Works cookies. There will also be tons of amazing prizes for runners of all ages, so make sure all your family and friends take part in this awesome event, which is also supporting a good cause. Every entrant will also receive a free trial session at Body20 Studio for the body that you’ve always wanted! Le Bonheur Crocodile Farm, movepretty and Multi Scarfs have also generously donated prizes for the event.

As a little added bonus, the organisers have managed to get their hands on tickets to the sold-out 2017 Cape Town Rugby Sevens! If you want to stand a chance to win, simply enter the race and cross those fingers. Who wouldn’t want to attend one of Cape Town’s hottest summer sports events?

ENTRY TO THE 2017 RUN 4A CAUSE TRAIL RUN AT MIDDELVLEI WINE ESTATE

Participants can register for the race via Entryninja.com, and the 5km race will cost of R80/p or R100/p on the day. The 10km costs R100/p online and R120/p on the day. Registration opens at 7:30am and the race will commence at 8:15am, with a prize giving ceremony taking place at 9:30am.
