South Africa watched The Voice SA from the edge of their seats for weeks and now you can finally see the winner perform some of his new tracks. Head down to Crown Bar on Saturday, 29 October 2016 and see Richard Stirton live in Paarl. Book your tickets now!
The first season of The Voice SA produced amazing local artists and Richard Stirton is no exception. The 22-year-old BComm Management student from Cape Town started playing the guitar one day in high school after injuring his back while playing cricket and he soon realised that he had unlocked a hidden talent. After performing small shows around the city and working as a singing waiter at Stardust Restaurant, he auditioned for the first season the South African edition of The Voice. All four of the coaches on the show wanted him when they heard his voice but Richard chose to work with Parlotones frontman Kahn Morbee, who helped him become the winner of the singing competition.
Richard’s first single ‘What Tears Me The Most’ became an instant success and the music video was released in June this year, receiving a ton of praise from his rapidly increasing fanbase. The singer is currently working on his first album and will be performing some new tracks at Crown Bar, a rad venue that has an intimate live performance setup and an outdoor braai area.
