Anthonij Rupert’s adored wine, the Protea Range, needs a good party to really celebrate its uniqueness. On Saturday, 28 October 2017 the annual Protea Party kicks off at 6:30pm at the Anthonij Rupert Estate in Franschhoek and will feature a host of fun activities and surprises.
The event sees the Anthonij Rupert estate celebrate their famous wine range These wines carry the estates quality assurance, and really are well worth a celebration! The range includes the Protea Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. Red wine lovers needn’t worry, the menu does include a delectable selection of red wines; Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Rosé. The Protea Party is perfect for lover of all types of wine, and what better backdrop to enjoy it in than the stunning region of Franschhoek.
Guests will be welcomed with Protea-inspired cocktails to tickle their taste-bud for the delighting experience. The three-course menu will start with various platters that include lamb kofta bites with beetroot hummus and zucchini fritters, sweetcorn and smoked paprika soup and fire-grilled prawns served with crayfish cream. For main course, patrons can look forward to slow roasted beef short rib infused with garlic honey and soy. It will be served with vegetables grown on the Anthonij Rupert estate. The evening will end on a sweet note with a brûléed lemon tart, macarons of varying colours and seasonal berries.
