Pick n Pay Women’s Walk
Have a fun day out supporting a worthy cause at this annual sporting event
Get that pink gear in tow and lace up for a good cause, Cape Town! The ever popular Pick n Pay Women’s Walk returns to the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, 25 March 2017.
Founded in 2011, the Pick n Pay Women's Walk is a series of nationwide 5-km walks to raise funds to support free cancer screening and health advice in local areas in our communities. The walk also welcomes men and children for a fun-filled, family-friendly day out in the Mother City.
There will be plenty of yummy food stalls at the finish line, along with a selection of Pink Drive goodies, a wicked MC and plenty of family fun. Futurelife will be handing out free smoothies to boost those energy levels, along with a little sample to take home with you. All those that finish the walk get a medal, and we regret to inform you that no running is permitted.
The walk has garnered plenty of fans since its inception and raises much needed awareness about breast cancer. All funds raised will go towards the PinkDrive. Do note, this is not a timed walk, but no running will be allowed. Goodie bags and medals will be handed to all finishers. Make sure you wear plenty of pink; think feather boas, big sunglasses, bright pink shoes and maybe a tutu or two.
