Looking for classy things to do on a Friday evening in Cape Town? Wine lovers and connoisseurs alike will get the chance to savour the cream of the South African vino crop at the public tasting leg of the 2017 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on Thursday, 8 June 2017.

Known as one of the country’s most respected national wine competitions, the one-night only wine tasting showcase gives everyday folk the rare opportunity to sample some of the very best wines from more than 30 wine categories – from MCCs and Sauvignon Blancs to Pinotages and Blanc de Noirs.

The producers will also be on hand to tell tasters a little more about their works of viticulture art, and stand-outs and must-haves can be ordered at show prices on the night.  Each of the 1000-odd wines that enter this exclusive competition is rigorously tested by international and local experts in blind tasting sessions, so you can be certain that the beverages you’ll taste on the night are really the best of the best.

Tickets for the wine show are available via Computicket.com, at Computicket outlets and at the door on the night. Tickets cost R175p/p before Friday, 2 June 2017, after which they will cost R190p/p.
