Running races and Cape Town go together like wine and cheese, chocolate and strawberries or drinking and weekends. This January, Nutribullet, the makers of that legit blender, are hosting a bay to bay run for all those that want to start their January on a healthy note.
Because the organisers are so obliging and on the pulse, there are two course options, with different distances and logistics attached. Have a look at which race you’d like to do on Sunday, 8 January 2017:
OPTION ONE: 30KM Camps Bay to Hout Bay
Start: Maidens Cove, Clifton
Start Time: 6am
Finish: Glen Country Club field
Cut-off: 10am
Price: R110p/p (plus booking fee and R57p/p if you need a temporary road running licence)
Entry details: Visit Topevents.co.za for more info and to enter online.
Special note: Please remember to run on the ocean side of the road along Victoria Drive, unless the marshal’s direct you otherwise. Be safe and happy running!
OPTION TWO: 15KM Hout Bay to Hout Bay
Start: Hout Bay Harbour
Start Time: 7:30am
Finish: Glen Country Club field
Cut-off: 10am
Price: R110p/p (plus booking fee and R57p/p if you need a temporary road running licence)
Entry details: Visit Topevents.co.za for more info and to enter online.
ENTRIES TO THE 2017 NUTRIBULLET BAY TO BAY RACE
Please note: Entries to the Nutribullet Bay to Bay Race close on Friday, 30 December 2016.
All entries can be made at Topevents.co.za, and various costs apply depending on whether you have a licence or not. Children under 15 are prohibited from entering the 15km race, and the 30km option is a strictly over 19 only event.
The prize giving will take place at the field below the Glen Country Club at 10am sharp. On the entry page, there is an option to purchase a race branded t-shirt.
