EARTHBOX is a first-of-its-kind ...
Experience an immersive sensory journey into the depths of the earth
Dedicated partygoers, listen up! Sort out those last-minute new year’s plans and watch the streets of Cape Town come alive with a stomp unlike any other. The New Year’s Street Festival will be hitting the Harrington Precinct with a sizzling line-up featuring global stars Pendulum, a handful of international acts and tons of local talent on Wednesday, 31 December 2014.
Eight thumping dance floors will take over Harrington Street and the surrounding alleyways and businesses, and guests can look forward to hearing over 50 performers across a variety of genres sound off. If open-air partying smack bang in the middle of the Mother City sounds as appealing to you as it does to us, then read right on!
Headlining Aussie and British band Pendulum (DJ set) is one of the most well-known drum and bass, rock and electronica acts around. Showcasing their DJ sets this time around, the group will no doubt serve up heart-stopping bass that’ll get the blood flowing.
Formed in 2002, Pendulum has grown from strength to strength, and die-hard drum and bass fans will know their hits off by heart. Tracks like ‘Witchcraft’, ‘The Island’ and ‘Watercolour’ have kept EDM dance floors pumping all over the globe for the last five years.
Otherwise, punters can look out for local award-winning rock ‘n rollers Prime Circle and rapper Ross Jack amongst many others! Gear up, don your partying threads and get prepped to dance your heart out.
