Pack in your dowsing rods and your EMF meter and get ready to go ghost hunting on the Mystery Ghost Bus tour in Cape Town from Thursday, 27 to Monday, 31 October 2016. Yes, that’s Halloween weekend, and you can spend it snooping around the Cape’s most haunted houses like your childhood favourites – Scooby-Doo and the gang.
Modelled on the original London Ghost Bus, the Mystery Ghost Bus tour will take you to the Mother City’s oldest, spookiest venues, like the Kimberley Hotel and the Castle of Good Hope, in search of the sinister, supernatural activity that fuels the ghost stories of today. Those willing to delve into the sphere of the paranormal with be granted entrance into one of the city’s dark haunted rooms, a historic cemetery, as well as a few pubs along the way. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is a fair amount of walking (and possibly running) to do, and bring a torch too.
The tour begins at Ferryman’s Tavern at the V&A Waterfront at 7pm, with a meal and drinks (not included in the price) and creeps its way through the night, until you reach the cemetery at midnight where you can expect a climactic ending.
