Montagu Makiti Family Heritage Festival

Enjoy a weekend of live entertainment, theatre, music, food and more with this annual Route 62 festival

The action-packed Montagu Makiti Family Festival makes a comeback for three days of family fun from Friday, 26 to Sunday, 28 September 2014.

Visitors can expect a line-up of live music, cultural celebrations, art exhibitions, stage performances, delicious food and wine and even an MTB challenge.

As an added extra, guests are encouraged (although not obliged) to purchase the charity-supporting Makiti Can, which serves as the festival ticket. The can, which costs R70, is packed with goodies such as a Route 62 sticker, Makiti Bandana, discount vouchers, dried fruit samples and spot prizes. Proceeds from the cans will be donated to various non-profit organisations and charities, including the Winelands SPCA, Breede River Hospice, Breede River Rotary and the RAD Foundation.
