Mfuleni Family Picnic at Eyadini Tshisanyama

A picnic isn’t a picnic without family, friends and live music

After the last event Eyadini Thisanyama hosted, the Cape Town DJs Music Festival (CTDMF) which saw local DJs galore amping up the crowds, everyone is asking for more great events and more music. Although it’s going to be more relaxed, the Mfuleni family picnic at Eyadini Tshisanyama on Saturday, 3 June 2017 from 12pm is still going to be one awesome bash. Expect amazing local DJs playing hip-hop influenced sounds, with a Mzansi flair, and lots of fellow fans of fun, music and laid-back Saturdays. The venue and organisers are all about bringing together people from different backgrounds.

The organisers of the all-day-all-night picnic, entertainment group Woza Nabangani Bakho, includes members such as Cape Town DJ Master Cash and Tinkla Deejay. Look forward to a host of both established and upcoming deck-flipping local talent, such as one of Cape Town’s most successful female deejays, AnonimasDJ from Langa, the popular Tinkla Deejay, Master Cash and more!

Make sure you’re able to enjoy the outdoor affair by bringing along some camping chairs or blankets to chill out on. If you plan on making a full day (and night) of it, comfort is key. There will also be a kid-friendly area (there is another area for over 18s only) if you’re planning on attending with the little ones.

There is a cash bar at the picnic, however, if you want to bring your own drinks you are welcome to do so at a corkage fee. You can take your cooler box filled with your favourite cold beverages in with you for R50. Alternatively, if you decide to bring in spirits or liqueur such as whisky, expect to shell out R30 per bottle.

Tickets to the Family Picnic are available online via Computicket.com for only R50p/p and can be collected from any Shoprite, House & Home and Checkers branches or Computicket stores, as well as selected OK Furniture and Usave outlets. If you don’t manage to buy a ticket prior to the event, however, do not worry as you can buy them at the door on the day for the price of R100p/p.

Please note that if you book a ticket online, the credit card you use to pay with must be presented when collecting the tickets.

Children must be accompanied by their parents. The gates to the children’s area are open from 12pm until 7pm, while the adults area is open all day and night, from 12pm until 5am.
