Judith Sephuma’s One Word Album Launch Concert in Cape Town
The sultry jazz, Afro-pop and gospel star is back with live concert to celebrate the launch of her new album
One of our very own home-grown singing sensations, the eminent Judith Sephuma, is celebrating the release of her new album, One Word, with a launch concert that will be lighting up the stage at the Artscape Theatre on Saturday, 6 June 2015.
Her lively new jazz album has been released to critical acclaim with many praising the star for her rich vocal tenor. One Word is a departure from anything we’ve heard from the Afro-pop singer before, and her musical progress reverberates in the record’s bold, soulful sound. It’s music that’s going to move you and make you want to dance.
Having grown up in Polokwane, Sephuma moved to the Mother City and graduated from the University of Cape Town with a diploma in jazz in 1997. She received the Best Jazz Vocalist award at the Old Mutual Jazz into the Future competition in 1999 and has won a number of other music industry accolades throughout her impressive career, which has spanned well over a decade.
Her live performance in June will be a musical feast for the whole family and a definite must for jazz fans.

Tickets are available from Computicket.com and various Computicket outlets and range from R250p/p to R350p/p, depending on seating choice.
The show starts at 8pm and is three hours in length with a 20-minute interval.
