Interplanetary Folk Festival

Experience different forms of folk music at this diverse music festival

More than 16 folk musicians are coming together to perform their music and share their knowledge of the genre at The Interplanetary Folk Festival from Monday, 26 September to Sunday, 2 October 2016 at Blah Blah Bar, where great music and fantastic food come together. Book your tickets for this out-of-this-world experience from Quicket.co.za today.

Folk music has transformed over the last few decades from the traditional style using acoustic instruments to contemporary subgenres such as folk punk and psychedelic folk. The purpose of the Interplanetary Folk Festival is to accommodate a variety of genres related to folk music (or ‘world music’ as it’s known in countries outside of the USA) and make it an inclusive experience for local performers. Included in the line-up are renowned local acts such as Guy Buttery and Mr. Cat & the Jackal, who have both been performing in South Africa for over a decade.
