Ginger and Lime Food Studio Cookery Courses

Add a little culinary expertise to your evening meals

Ginger and Lime, located in Fresnaye, is the answer to all of your cookery questions and food dilemmas. Want to be a domestic god? Want to make Nigella look like a three-year-old? Well, do yourself a favour and get down to one of Ginger and Lime Food Studio’s themed cookery courses in Fresnaye.

The next course coming up is on Tuesday, 6 September 2016 and has the charmant theme of ‘French’ cookery. France is famous for their food, with their cookery knowledge having informed the base of many other countries cuisines. If you love garlic and white wine, then French food will fill that little space missing in your heart. Calories aren't something that the French seem to worry about, so be sure to leave your diet at the door, there’s no room for skimmed milk here!

The menu sounds mouth-wateringly exciting, and on top of learning how to prepare each dish, you’ll also receive the recipe to take home and use to impress your friends. If your in-laws are on their way into town or even your parents, these courses are your ticket to one happy family meal!

MENU FOR THE 2016 FRENCH INTERACTIVE COOKERY COURSE AT GINGER AND LIME

Warm Vichyssoise topped with crème fraiche and chives
Lightly poached salmon with a beurre blanc served with wilted baby spinach
Potato dauphinoise gratin

Duck breast a l’orange served on a bed of mashed butternut
Green beans with brown butter and toasted almonds

French pears poached in red wine
Baked boozy brie

Note: Vichyssoise is a thick vegetable based soup, usually served with chicken and eaten cold. It’s packed full of flavour and a lovely starter addition to any menu!
