Dota, Counter-Strike or Quake – which is better? An age-old question that has hardcore gamers smashing keyboards and slinging insults such as ‘noob’ at one another. Well it’s time to lay the argument to rest and bring all three games under one roof. The GAC Cyber LAN-Party will be held at the Abe Sher Stadium in Bothasig from Friday, 11 December to Sunday, 13 December 2015.
The three-day gaming tournament will have three separate competitions; Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Quake Live and the prize money depends on how many players take part. With a Gigabit LAN, a DC server, and an internet connection with Quality of Service dedicated to online gaming, this tournament has all the right components for an action-packed showdown.
All you need to bring is your PC with double power plugs, headphones, a sleeping bag and your sustenance of choice (energy drinks and snacks). There will be music playing throughout the tournament so there’s no need to bring your loudspeakers.
TICKETS TO THE 2015 GAC CYBER LAN-PARTY IN CAPE TOWN
Tickets will only be available at the door and will cost R200p/p wanting to enter the tournament or R70p/p spectating. Note that anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
The tournament will begin at 5pm on Friday, 11 December 2015 and will end on Sunday morning. For more information, call +27 (0)81 270 0426.
