Ed Kowalczyk Concert Tour in Cape Town

See this American rock legend and lead singer bring his unplugged solo set to the Mother City

“I alone love you, I alone tempt you. Fear is the not the end of this!” If you recognise these anthemic lyrics then this upcoming concert is meant for you! The lead singer of American rock band Live, Ed Kowalczyk is coming to Cape Town to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic album Throwing Copper with a solo set on Friday, 25 September 2015 at the Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino.

The enigmatic front man left the highly successful band in 2010 to release his first solo offering, Alive, followed by his 2013 release The Flood and Thee Mercy. Kowalczyk‘s latest touring musical performance comes in the form of a stripped-down set of some of his most beloved tunes. This concert is unplugged, raw and brings a new perspective to some iconic tunes this September.

For those not in the know, Live hit the big time with their 1994 album Throwing Copper that spawned the hits, ‘I Alone’, ‘All Over You’ and ‘Lightning Crashes’. The album was the band’s second release but garnered tremendous acclaim from rock fans around the globe. Live has sold eight million copies of Throwing Copper in the United States and has sold twenty million albums worldwide.

Tickets are available online at Computicket.com and from various Computicket outlets. Entry to the event ranges from R375p/p and R495p/p depending on seating choice. Doors open at 7pm while the show sounds off at 8pm.

The show is set to run for 1hr 40 min with no interval.
