Cape Town nightlife’s going to get a lot more exciting when this three time DMC World DJ Champion comes to Cape Town for an exclusive party set to get dance floors grooving. Who are we talking about? Miami native DJ Craze, of course! Art collective More Than Hype present this one night only jol at Mercury Live on Friday, 9 October 2015.
Getting his start in the early 90s, DJ Craze is a legend amongst turntablists. The three times winner of the one of the most prestigious awards given to hip-hop beatmakers, he has carved a niche for himself and gained many loyal fans in the process. Craze is known for combining drum ‘n bass, hip hop and breaks within his routines and his dedication to innovation led to him being named America’s Best DJ by TIME magazine in 2000.
The international star has been a tour DJ for rapper Kanye West and Yelawolf, and is now focused on establishing his own record label Slow Roast Records, while touring the world, of course. The megastar will be joined by some of South Africa’s top-notch beatmakers for a night out that promises to get toes tappin’ and butts shakin’. Look out for radio DJ and producer Hyphen, hip hop aficionado White Nite, turntablist DJ Kenichi and more.
