Experience a truly Capetonian Christmas Day with a buffet lunch and a charming session of carolling at Richard’s Supper Stage & Bistro.
The Sea Point musical revue restaurant, which is known to dish up traditional Cape Malay fare alongside entertaining Kaapse stories (Cape stories) told through song and dance, will be serving a three-course feast for lunch. Guests get a welcome drink on arrival and a sumptuous selection of eats to indulge in.
To start with, there’s the spread of salads, freshly baked breads and Cape pâtés, and for the mains, diners can pile their plates high with Free-range Roast Lamb with Mint Sauce, Roast Chicken with Duxelle Stuffing and Gravy or Cape Hake in Light Creamy Lemon and Parsley Sauce. The delicious holiday meats go brilliantly with the range of fresh vegetables and steamy roast potatoes on offer. The buffet meal is rounded off with a traditional Christmas Pudding with Crème Anglaise, and while it all digests, there will be live carol singing in the background to keep things light and festive.
