Spend a summers’ eve getting into the festive spirit with help from your favourite Christmas classics!

Silent night, Holy night, all is calm, all is bright

If shopping centres putting their decorations up early irritates you – 1. You might be the Grinch. 2. Perhaps this occasion  will prove the perfect cure to your festivalisophobia (yes it’s a real thing – we Googled). 

On Thursday, 15 December 2016, Cape Point Vineyards is hosting their annual homage to the festive season’s most-loved jingles. Carols by Candlelight is a must for any noel-enthusiast, and is suitable for the whole family. Old, young, short, tall, boy, girl – everyone will love singing Jingle Bells by the light of thousands of candles. It is as close to true-Christmas as South Africa will ever get (we all know Santa wears winter attire for a reason).

As the event is at Christmas, the time of giving, the organisers have agreed to give some of the proceeds to local charities based in Masi and Ocean View with the express purpose of making sure no family goes hungry this Christmas.

Nedine Blom will lead the carols this year and after the festive anthems have been sung, Jeremy Oliver will take the stage and delight you with some of his original work, maybe with a few cheeky jingles thrown in there too!

Please note: There will be a massive selection of gourmet food and drink available at the event, and because of this, no food purchased off the premises will be allowed in. Also, Cape Point Vineyard is a beautiful venue, so let’s all make sure we pick up every bit of litter we see and maybe they will host this fab event again next year!

Tickets are available online via Cpv.co.za and will cost R100p/p and children under 12 years of age enter for free.
