Spend an afternoon getting creative in Stellenbosch

Spending a day in Stellenbosch usually involves wine tasting in abundance at one of the many beautiful vineyards in the area. Well, on Saturday, 1 October 2016 the artisanal candle makers Marvel & Light in conjunction with LuxeLove will be hosting a candle making workshop for you to enjoy.

Marvel & Light will share their tips and tricks from the candle making industry, ensuring you accquire something lovely to take home with you. With wedding season coming up, these little homemade candles make the most perfect heart-felt gift for a loved ones nuptials, or an amazingly personal decoration for your own special day! LuxeLove is a well-known South African wedding directory and experts in their field (everything related to weddings, ever).

This experience starts at 11am at The Modern Heirloom at the stunning Overgaauw Wine Estate just outside of Stellenbosch. You’ll be treated to a demonstration of candle making, and then have the opportunity to take a lovely candle home with you.

After the creativity has manifested itself into some enchanting candles, you will be served a charming lunch by The Slippery Spoon. There is nothing better to end off a day of creating than a delicious harvest feast in the winelands. Sounds picturesque!
