Sizzling coals, beautiful views and a hearty run collide when this annual Heritage Day event gets underway in Wellington. The sixth Imbuko annual braai day brings together the celebratory aspect of our public holiday (on Saturday, 24 September 2016) at Imbuko Wine Farm.
There’s no doubt that a lekker braai plays a massive role in local South African culture and the folks at Imbuko Wine Farm are not about to disappoint their loyal fans.
For a fun foodie-oriented day out, tuck into the hearty nosh available at the venue (like fresh-out-of-the-oven pizzas) and, mostly importantly, a well-stocked braai feast. If you’re feeling parched then be sure to get an ice cold pint of craft beer (not just reserved for Cape Town’s hipsters) or, if the golden brew isn’t what quenches your thirst, choose from a selection of wines to sip on.
The kids will be entertained with plenty of activities geared towards keeping little ones occupied while parents enjoy the day out, including jumping castles and a candy land to keep sugar levels soaring.
Chill out and enjoy the view whilst listening to four-piece acoustic outfit, Newton & Co, which aims to bring toe-tapping tunes to this annual shindig.
Do note that the first 100 guests will receive a gift bag while all guests will receive a free wine glass.
Can’t make this family-friendly day out? Have a squiz at this upcoming Heritage Day overview packed with cool activities to spend your public holiday.
