BOS Backyard Sessions Pop-Up Party in Cape Town

Known for its innovative campaigns (think the Twitter-powered drink-dispensing robot vending machine) and collaborations with major music festivals, like Oppikoppi and Rocking the Daisies, BOS Ice Tea presents its first ever independent event in the Mother City. The super unique BOS Backyard Sessions series kicked off in Johannesburg and will head to Cape Town on Saturday, 15 November 2014.

Like its namesake, the free BOS Ice Tea live music shindig looks to add that cool factor to what promises to be a sweltering summer season. What makes it so hip? Well, hosted in a backyard, open lot or uber rad locale, these backyard sessions are not only free for audiences but also give upcoming musos the opportunity to perform on stage.

The Cape Town affair features Al Bairre, Beach Party, John Wizards and new pop kids on the block Grace Town, and makes for the perfect place to chill out and enjoy great music before heading out for the night.

Aside from the top-notch tunes on the cards, there will also be awesome activities and yummy treats on offer throughout the day. Attendees can look forward to participating in nail-biting  BOS pong (it’s beer pong sans beer) – and no one will judge you for purposefully losing since it just means that you can drink more BOS Ice Tea.

Speaking of which, this proudly Mzansi organic rooibos-based flavoured drink will be readily available – neat or as a cocktail with alcoholic mixers – to quench parched party-goers’ thirsts.

And what afternoon jol is complete without delicious nosh? A selection of Cape Town’s favourite food trucks will also be in attendance, serving up delicious treats and dance floor fuel to keep those feet tapping and booties shaking.

What’s more, if your selfie-taking game is a little off, there will also be a photo booth on site as well as a roaming photographer to immortalise your experience at the Cape Town leg of the BOS Backyard Sessions.

As previously mentioned, there is zero cover charge to this summertime do, but eager attendees MUST pre-register to book a coveted free ticket. To do so, visit BOSIceTea.com/entries, fill out the form and claim your two free passes.

Tickets will be emailed to successful applicants in the week of the event and will include directions to the venue and valuable information regarding the jol.

BE AWARE: Tickets must be printed and presented at the gate on the day.
