Boomerang New Year's Eve Party
Celebrate the New Year in Cape Town with a bang at this outdoor trance party
Usher in an explosive 2014 and celebrate the new year at the Boomerang New Year’s Eve Party from Tuesday, 31 December 2013 to Thursday, 2 January 2014 (gate opens for camping on Monday, 30 December 2013). The jol is set to take place at the scenic and stunning Nelson's Creek Wine Estate.
Founded in 2008, this epic three-day outdoor electronica festival has become one of Cape Town’s most-anticipated trance events and has grown to become an enthralling experience, with a focus on cultivating great energy and providing the perfect party playground for lovers of psytrance. This year, the relatively more intimate music jol (only 2000 people are admitted) presents a party that promises ‘double the action’ and ‘triple the excitement’; the perfect way to celebrate the new year in Cape Town.
Hosted just 35 minutes from the city centre, the out-of-this-world mash-up features rolling grasslands, a large dam and a myriad of extra-terrestrial activities (think drumming circles, a fufi slide, poi and hoop spinning, live art and an outdoor movie screening). The theme for this year's Boomerang is 'Back to the Old School', which is a throwback to a time when psytrance festivals were more about interconnection and love.
As always, food stalls and a fully-stocked bar will be on site, and camping is the order of the day.
