British Electro Dance Music (EDM) sensation Above & Beyond will emit their audio shockwaves at the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch on Friday, 17 April 2015 as part of an international tour to punt their new 2015 album, We Are All We Need.
Termed “the biggest band you’ve never heard of” by mainstream media, the super savvy UK-based trio may not dominate radio airwaves, but they’ve captured the hearts and minds of EDM fans the world over since inception in 2000. More impressively, they recently became the first British DJs to headline Madison Square Garden in New York, a 13,000-person space that they sold out in a matter of minutes.
Their radio show, Group Therapy, regularly broadcasts to over 30 million people in 35 countries, and though they grew out of the trance scene and have crafted more than just a few big-room electronic dance anthems, they’re also know for putting together emotive songs with heart, soul, vocals and more.
Coming to Cape Town after a performance in Mexico, and supported by Protoculture, amongst others yet to be confirmed, Above & Beyond represents an entire movement of underground electro dance music that has become so big it’s bursting at the seams.
