24 Nov 2006 - 26 Nov 2006

Since its initiation in 2000, the unique pro-celebrity format quickly caught on and now the professionals, businessmen and celebs flock to this unique golf event to compete together in teams, while knowing that two of the most noteworthy causes are benefiting: the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund and The Player Foundation.
Now in it's seventh year of operation, this growing event has raised amost R20 million for the two charities that are committed to uplifting the lives of underprivileged children and making a real difference in the lives of South Africans.
This is achieved through the generosity of the 10 businessmen who pay R250 000 each for the privilege of playing, as well as through vast amounts raised at the charity auction that takes place during the Pro-Am dinner on the Friday night before the golf event starts.
While the event will always attract both star-struck fans (luminaries such as Nigel Mansell, Gary Lineker, Kenny Dalglish, Ronan Keating, Samuel L Jackson and supermodels Jodie Kidd and Ines Sastre have already displayed their golfing prowess) and die-hard golf fans, who can savour the likes of Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Bob Charles, Lee Westwood and a host of other world-beaters, the Nelson Mandela Invitational is about so much more than just a golf tournament.
Molo Says:"Golf holiday in South Africa or just a luxury stay at the Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa in Kleinmond? Or interested in one of the most beautiful golf courses in the surroundings of Cape Town? I can imagine, it is an incredible golf course, I played a beautiful par at the 18th to pick up the bar tab. Contact our Travel Team to book yourself into the Arabella at better rates then booking direct. The round of golf is worth it.
