Bespoke menus, wine pairings, and timeless interiors
The long Heritage Day weekend is nearly upon is, and there’s no better way to start stoking those much-anticipated National Braai Day fires than by staging an assault on the Twitterverse with an appropriately themed competition.
In short, participate in our #braaisongs contest via Twitter and you could win TWO GOLDEN CIRCLE TICKETS TO SYMPHONIC ROCKS CAPE TOWN, the incredible live music performance that pairs a 65-piece orchestra with some of South Africa’s most iconic artists (think AKING, Fokofpolisiekar, ZAHARA, Toya DeLazy, MACSTANLEY, MiCasa and more). Not to mention, the frontman for 90s rock sensation Collective Soul, Ed Roland, will be making a special trip to Mzansi to join the ranks of the performers, and to make the third year of this cross-genre concert truly bigger, better and unforgettable.
Though, even if you’d rather be washing your elbows than watching a symphony back award-winning vocalists, there’s still good reason to participate in our competition: it’s FUN, and it’s better than working!
How to Win Tickets to Symphonics Rocks Cape Town
Example 1:
Take Rebecca Black’s brilliant and ingenious song “Friday”. In line with the rules of our competition, you could tweet the following:
“It’s braai day, braai day, braai day!” @CapeTownMag #braaisongs
Example 2:
Braai-word substitutions don’t necessarily need to rhyme though. Take a lyric from Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”. In line with the rules of the competition, you could tweet the following:
“Like a boerewors, touched for the very first time.” @CapeTownMag #braaisongs
