This is a community based event which in 2003 was nominated for a Tourism Award by the City of Cape Town and this year the community is determined to have an even bigger, better and brighter event.

Flowers:
The flower show is professionally landscaped, and there will also be loads of interesting craft stalls, and even a beer garden.

Food:
Teas will be served all day with delicious homebakes such as melktert, koeksisters, scones etc.
For lunch choose between typical West Coast snoek braais, or pickled fish, potjiekos, and special boerewors for lunch, all served with salad.

Also on sale will be homemade ginger beer, jams, konfyt and preserves.

Fun extra attractions:
Horse and cart rides round the village, jumping castle for kids, quad bike rides, charcoal portraits done on the spot, bands playing to entertain, drum majorettes, and even folkdancing demos by the local children.
