Singer/songwriter and guitarist Rory Eliot will be performing at the Kirstenbosch Winter Warmer Concert on Sunday, 8 October at 6pm.

Rory Eliot burst onto the SA music scene in 2001 as a member of acoustic pop duo Plush along with guitarist and singer Chas Smit.

After releasing two albums to critical acclaim the band's future was cut short when Chas Smith was killed by a speeding drunk driver in September 2005.

After a six-month sabbatical Rory Eliot has returned to the stage to continue pursuing his musical career. Now performing as a duo with former Plush drummer Ben Peters, he will be playing old Plush favourites as well as some of his latest compositions.

Tickets for the Kirstenbosch Winter Warmer Concerts are R90 per person (Botanical Society members pay R81) and include a welcome drink and starter course of soup. Booking is essential - tickets available from the Silvertree Restaurant at Kirstenbosch or by credit card on tel:

The concerts take place on Sunday evenings from 6pm-8:30pm (drinks and starters served from 6:00pm).
