The Hermanus Wine and Food Fair has been nominated one of the best wine shows in South Africa. An honour indeed and well worth the visit for all wine enthusiasts.
With tastebud tickling wines of Hamilton Russel, Newton Johnson, Ataraxia in the Hemel-en-Aarde-Vellei on the one side, and for example Iona from the Elgin vineyards in your backyard, and that quaffable Hermanuspieterfontein rose even closer, you understand that these terroirs around Hermanus can deliver on a Wine & Food Fair.
The Wine Village in Hermanus presents the 12th Hermanus Wine & Food Fair, a highlight on the South African wine calendar, we have been told.
60 Local wineries will present more than 250 wines for tasting at the Hermanus Wine & Food Fair, not forgetting delectable fares from various cheese and olive farms amongst others, as well as the famous Sushi of The Harbour Rock.
This is the only Wine and Food Fair in South Africa where you are able to not only purchase the wines tasted and take them home immediately, but also have these boxes of ‘grape juice extra ordinaire’ shipped home anywhere in the world.
A few things that the team at the Hermanus Wine & Food Fair have in store for you:
The Hermanus Botanical Society will be the main beneficiary of the Wine Village Cocktail for Fynbos and Wine Auction on Friday 8 August.
